The Taipei Metro Nanjing East Road Station is a station on the Wenshan Line located on the border between Zhongshan and Songshan districts, Taipei, Taiwan.[2] When the Songshan Line is completed in 2013, the station will be renamed to Nanjing Fuxing Station and become a transfer station connecting the two lines.[3][4]
Station overview
The station is located at the intersection of Fuxing North Rd. and Nanjing East Rd. It has two side platforms and a single exit.
Construction
The Songshan Line station will be a three-level, underground station underneath Nanjing East Rd. Excavation depth will be 25 meters, while the station will be 240 meters long and 22 meters wide. Eight additional exits will be added.[5]
Public art
The Songshan Line station will have a theme of "Reflective Mosaic of Light".[5] The focus will be on variations of light and shadow, and will turn the station into a miniature art museum with artworks in every corner.
